Ridonkulous Dance
The student-run dance group Ridonkulous has a general "hip-hop" style,
but also encompasses several styles of movement in performances
and choreography, to which all members contribute. These members
are versed in different dance backgrounds including ballet, jazz,
tap, break dancing, hip-hop, street/jazz funk, and bhangra, and
the "Ridonk Style" tries to incorporate a majority of
these classes into one -- movement.
Performances, for the most part, take place off-campus, but
an annual Spring show titled "Footwork," exposes the MIT community
to other dance groups from New England. On-campus
collaborators have included the MIT Dance Troupe shows, Comedy
Collage, and Mocha Moves' Ring the Alarm Annual Competition in
the Fall, just to name a few.
