Arts Awards
MIT recognizes and rewards students for their accomplishments in the arts through over 30 different student awards and prizes.
In addition, MIT recognizes its arts faculty and outside artists for their accomplishments in the arts through the following awards:

- The Epstein Award is presented in recognition of extraordinary contributions to the MIT Symphony Orchestra and the Music and Theater Arts Section
- Gregory Tucker Memorial Awards recognize exceptional ability in composition, performance or music-historical studies
- Ragnar and Margaret Naess Awards recognize exceptional talent and commitment to private performance study
- Philip Loew Memorial Awards recognize creative accomplishment in music
- Brad and Dorothea Endicott Awards recognize distinguished service and musical contribution to the program in world music
- The Joseph D. Everingham Award recognizes a single creative outstanding performance or notable creative accomplishments in theater arts
- The Edward S. Darna Award is presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in theater arts and made a substantial contribution to the health of theater life on the MIT campus
