ICA web site
Beginning July 1, 2009, the Council
for the Arts at MIT sponsors MIT's membership at the ICA. MIT staff, faculty
and students -- with valid MIT IDs -- can gain free admittance to the ICA.
Simply show your ID at the door. You will also get a discount
at the ICA cafe and shop, and a discount on performances at the ICA.
This
offer does not include spouse/partners, affiliates, DLC sponsored cardholders
(departmentally sponsored persons who do not have an appointment through MIT
Human Resources, e.g. Temporary Employees, Contractors, and Volunteers), retirees,
or alumni/ae. Discount tickets, valid through September 1, 2010, can be purchased
for $9.50 each (regular price $15) at MITAC (MIT
Activities Committee), located in the Stata Center Lobby.
Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art aims to present the most significant
national and international contemporary art to Boston audiences. Their
exhibition program includes the Momentum series, focusing on the work of emerging
artists; the Sandra and Gerald Fineberg Art Wall, an annual, site-specific commission
in the museum lobby; the James and Audrey Foster Prize, a biennial exhibition
and award for Boston-area artists; and selections from the ICA's permanent
collection.
