Museum of Fine Arts Program
MFA web site
Boston's Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) boasts one of the country's major
collections of European, American and Asian art. The Council
for the Arts at MIT underwrites MIT's membership at the MFA. MIT students can enjoy
the exhibitions and cultural programs by presenting their current student ID at the Museum.
Through this University Membership Program, MIT students may also purchase $6 tickets for special exhibitions for
weekdays after 12noon, with their MIT ID, as well as enjoy a 10% discount in the Museum Shops. The discount tickets for
special exhibitions are subject to availability on the day of your visit
to the MFA.
MIT staff members can borrow one pass per MIT ID for daily or weekend use. These passes provide free admission to the museum,
but only for general admission, not for special exhibitions. Reservations are only accepted 24 hours before desired date of use.
Call 617/253-4003 and pick them up at Room E15-205. Please note that weekend demand is high—they go fast!
