Founded in 1976, the not-for-profit PRC a showplace for national and international photographers and was established to facilitate the study and dissemination of information relating to photography.

The Council for the Arts at MIT sponsors a student membership program with the PRC at 832 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston (at Boston University).

MIT undergraduates and graduate students have free unlimited access to the PRC galleries and library and admission to lectures, workshops, and other special events at the discounted member price. They can also enter their work into the annual Juried Members' exhibition, presented in the PRC' s Klebenov Gallery.

Students should present their MIT student IDs at the PRC for free entry.
