Meeting starts 1 hour late. Sigh.

1.  Summer Logistics
	Present all Summer:  Alvar, Susan, Jon, Jocelyn

2.  New Group Stuff
	A) VIEW
		A-OK!  Category II.  JENC will input

		Doh!  Distinct Officer Clause
		      Election Date problems
	  JON will email, will recognize when fixed.

	C) Thistle
		Came to office hours.
		Jocelyn gave them a petition to fill out and return.
		They're irritated about office move.  Will probably
		take longer than scheduled.

	D) Columbian Students Assn.
		JENC - petition, current contact information
			may need to talk to accounts

	E) Student Tech Consultants
		Company, eh?  table.

3.   FYSM

Susan is going to do a lot of stuff Friday morning :)

New groups -- NO!

Logistics - place cards telling people where to go
	last year was squished.  Use Sala all the way around
	and fill the room.  3 people per table.  chairs.
	
	34 tables.  

	Move setup to earlier.  

	Order envelopes ASAP.  Liz does UG ones.
	We will have to order the graduate ones.
	Ryan already has the Grad labels.

Mailing Groups:
	Will send each group a confirmation about
	- how much they owe
	- stuffing party.

	Will send ASAP.  Hopefully Friday night.
	Emails divided by "genre" of what they are sending.

4. SAD Update
	
	Eep!  No CD-ROM from Philip!  Alvar thinks he will
	be on Philip's keylist so he can access the computer.

	Need to be at printers by end of July.

5. Rooming & Locks
	
	All groups who's offices are "in flux" have
	been emailed.

	Jocelyn was kind and didn't send mass CC:s to asa-exec (I got
	lots!)

	1. groups moving in can pick up two keys from CAC to their new
	   office on the thurs or fri (june 22?)
	2. groups being punted have to move out by midnight saturday
	   (june 24), or e-mail
	3. groups moving in *fresh* or moving from a to b are supposed
	   to be in around june 25, or e-mail

	There are some cute links -- MITG&SP needs Thistle to move,
	Mock Combat et al need MITG&SP to move...

	Groups are supposed to e-mail when they move.

	? When does CAC know which groups get what keys?

***	LOCKS -- Generically, looking at mid-July install (after I get
	back! Yay!) Groups who have key locks in Walker, etc., can get
	more keys in July (eg, the ones whose locks aren't changing).

	Jocelyn sent a long e-mail draft-draft-draft. Jocelyn is
	working on Web Pages(tm) this weekend because The Internet Is
	Our Friend. Limited information, but available to The
	World. It includes implementation plans.

	How to get First Code?
		1. Sealed envelope in CAC (CAC makes an initial combo)
		2. Student group picks a combo and sends it to
		   (whoever's in charge -- Dave or Ted); if you send
		   it to asa-exec or someone who isn't Dave or Ted,
		   you Lose.

	PIN = 4 characters. Every code has two parts: a Code and a
	PIN. Codes are 3. PINs can be between 4-6, but we'll default
	to 4.

	Debate has registered a protest, we are dealing appropriately
	to tell them "no".

	IFC has re-registered a protest. We'll talk with them and
	*may* give them keys if they *really* need it.

	MITSFS is getting a Spiffy version that includes a card
	reader, which they're paying for (over the amount that we
	would've paid) (well, the admins would've paid).

	Every activity gets a submaster. User codes (but I) can be
	divided into four groups. Group A will have submaster, told to
	use codes 1-50; Group B, told to use codes 51-100, for rooms
	with two roommates. President can go at the end of the term to
	see what codes are left and audit and see what the codes are
	(with Magic Machine).

	Oh yeah, Jocelyn is Official(tm) now. Yay, we still have
	quorum!

	Need to go to CAC to Permanently Delete. *Can* "put on hold",
	which is equivalently/functionally same, but still. Need CAC
	to change submaster code. Don't know if submaster can change
	own pin.

	1:30pm Friday, meeting at MITAC office (basement of Walker) to
	do a walkthru to see where furniture should go.

	Monday at 9am, doing walkthru to see how many locks actually
	needed on w20-4xx.

	Anna will be back in town September 16. :)

5.	A. Rush Rules

	No free fruit, unless you want to form the "Free fruit club"
	(maybe).

	You shouldn't hold open events/flyer until after the
	Activities Midway (which is the kickoff). But, like, you can
	wear t-shirts. Use common sense. Please don't hold open
	"recruiting" events during Orientation before the Activities
	Midway; we're nice. Please do not poster, before the Midway,
	*anything* about any of your events (recruiting or
	otherwise). (You can still do whatever you want with your
	bulletin board, but that's not something we're going to tell
	them unless they ask. :) Orientation has a lock on publicity
	for the period anyway so ha ha sucks to be you. This rule will
	be enforced.

	Put it on the web page as soon as it's ready. :) Information
	is Good. Speaking of, PDF versions of the SAD will be up, and
	we're asking for that as an mit.edu spotlight.

	B. Me, Me, Me
		- Bjork?
		- Susan will Run The Reaper ("add asa; asa-admin; 1";
		  run in time for people to get happy-emails on Monday
		  morning; say "yes" to everything except sending
		  ourselves a keylist (yes, this includes sending
		  laurie "presidents & treasurers", "presidents", and
		  "treasurers"; she likes the redundancy))
		- The groups who "fail the checksum" should probably
		  be e-mailed and berated.

	C. Official mail, contents:
		- midway deadline -> plus list of okay groups
		- you got an e-mail if you're in the fysm

	D. Official mail in mid-August, contents:
		- rush rules paragraph

	E. Fall meeting
		- end of September
		- not week before career fair (sept 28/29)
		- planning for september 19, 10-250 or other, "the
		  evening" -- Susan is dealing. :)
		- treasurer training
		- elect a GMAL

	F. Midway
		- we're fining groups who didn't show up $50
		- late groups either have to help clean up, or $20
		- if you're an early returns lameass, you get smackdown
		- modifying current website about midway with more
		  details RSN (Alvar)

	G. Miscellany
		- need to put up/update FAQ
		- Uberboard! UBERBOARD!!
		- If we're bored, we should let accounts know what
		  lockers don't exist any more (or what shouldn't
		  exist any more)

	X. a capella videos -- the (Tech Jazz Singers?) account is being
	frozen until that's fixed.
