Minutes for ASA Exec 8-3-00

0. Office Hours
   STC showed up.
   Big things: fix website (not a company) 
	       need constitution
   
1. NEW GROUPS
   * STC (see above)
   * SAPA room reservation
	  SUSAN needs to figure out how to transfer reservation
	  go to CAC, ask them to change it?
   
2. MIDWAY
   * Do we all have to be there all friggen day?
   Who will be at other booths?
   Susan - LSC?
   Philip - DMC
   Jen Y - Kendo?
   Jocelyn - Hillel
   Jessica - Swass / GAMIT
   Alvar - TMRC
   Brian - Bridge Club
  
   ROLES:

   IDEA (almost reality):
	no open air music midway.  All headphones
	
	Exceptions: WMBR transmitting live
		    Folk Dance: Artistic Performances
		    ISA: Cultural Music

		    TVs can have low-sound
    
    The BANNER is spiffy!  YAY Alvar!
       
    Midway meeting Sat 3pm to determine map layout.
    Alvar will meet Monday with Mike Foley.
    
    Alvar says: low stress for him :)

3, OFFICIAL MAIL / RUSH RULES
    Jon is drafing an Official Mail regarding Midway.
    There will be a midway-only mail sent closer to the event.

    Rush Rules:
    No recruiting events before the midway.
    NO general postering / publicity before the Midway

    Any questions - contact us.

    JEN - contact Tech about "join the tech" ads

    Tell groups to make / keep their board pretty.

4. FYSM
   
   25 groups who haven't paid.
   Susan will send out "personal" mail.

   Connect with Laurie.

   Send Philip the list of groups so he can check if they have SA accounts.

5. T-shirts
   Philip is in charge.  Susan says that she will help.
   MUST do this soon!
   Funds: "we'll figure it out" says Alvar
   Figure out sizes.  No baby tees :)
   
   Do we want a graphic, or just text?

6. Scheduling 1st fall GBM
   Tues, Sept 19, 7pm
   SPRING: Tues, Apr 3

7. Tracy's idea:
   Add 'resources' section to new group email.
   Put an info URL on the "thanks for updating your info" auto-mail

7. Locks
   Tabled.

8. ASA Poster Policy
   No more than one poster per group per board.
   Student Groups have the right to poster over or move other
    posters violating the policy.
   Don't poster on walls. If you poster on trees, we'll smack you
    down like the cheap-ass ho of a student activity that you are.

9. CSSA
   Not our jurisdiction. Let Tracy deal.
   Fundraising is a Good Thing [tm].
   We'll send an email to CSSA to tell them that we're not going
    to do anything about it. Alvar will handle it.

10. UberBoard
    Jon is spearheading an effort to get UberBoard going.
    New list: <uber@mit> hidden, private, administered by Jon
    Please keep all information on it CONFIDENTIAL.
