0. Meet the new GMAL!
    Hi Andy!

1. this month's new group recognition follow-ups
   *MIT student Pugwash - followed up Jen Yoon, has no purpose, still haven't
    turned one in
   *Nautical Association - foolowed up by JenY, need to fix constitution
   *Women's Water Polo - followed up by JenY, need to fix contitution
   *Areyto - followed up by JenC, need to fix contitution
   *Karaoke - PHILIP will follow up, needs to fix Constitution by Nov 1
   *Writer's Guild - overlaps heavily with other clubs,  SUSAN will email again
   *Lacrosse Club - told should join with IM, but they are non-competitive, we
    will recognize provitionally, JENC will email
   *eAerospace Club - purpose questionable, ALVAR will email
   *European Professional Network Assoc. - new purpose is less bad, wants to
    join European Clubs from many colleges into one network, a higherup
    organization than the European Club, JENC will email to set up a meeting
   *MIT Real Estate Club - Alvar emailed, ALVAR will check constitution, if
    okay, will recognize and email
   *Epicurean - recognized, JENC will email


2. Random specific student groups
   A. MIT Mock Trial - Jon said the old Mock Trial want to be derecognized
      because they are no longer active, new people need to go through
      recognition process, ALVAR will email
   B. BioUSA [category 2->1] - want to be able to get funding from outside
      the Bio dept, PHILIP will email about financial stuff
   C. Class of 2004 - recognized, JENC will reaperize and email


3. uberDatabase update
* Alvar contacted the IS Discovery team, they'd be happy to work with us to
  create a database for student groups and will have IS prople as support team
* Alvar also met with the GSC treasurer, they have a server and the software
  and could give us these things, they're already developing a GSC database for
  funding applications, willing to make us a database separate from the GSC
  one, but linked to it
* PHILIP will look into funding for an ASA computer
* Some concerns brought up about using Lotus.  Seems to be gooey enough to be
  easy to learn.

4. New Group Derecognitions (project to be assigned)
   *SUSAN and BRIAN will take care of

5. Locks - new Official shiny regulations
   *About 5 weeks away from coming, need to determine exactly how things will
    work, JESSICA will assist, PHILIP and SUSAN will help out if needed

6. What to do with all those groups that missed the GBM and especially the ones
who never turned in constitutions
   *Will have a tag somewhere about missing the GBM, SUSAN will deal

7. What Is A Joint Sub-Committee Between The GSC And The UA?
   * We have a budget (more or less) from the GSC and the UA
   * They want to keep us under their wings, no we aren't becoming independant
   * They have said they will give us want we've asked for financially
   * Talk occured about creating a appeals Judboard for ASA,  IFC, DormCon, etc
   * They don't want to give us the power to just make amendments
   * Talk about creating a sub sub committee for UA councillors
   * JENB should report to the UA that office is a mess.  Bad UA
