FYSM update (getting money back :-) -We have 10-12 groups that paid by check and another dozen or so who asked for transfers: We're still missing ~80 groups -Within the next 2 weeks, ARTHUR will send an email to all bad groups saying to send us money -ARTHUR will also figure out how to do account transfers, for the groups who prefer that -JENY will take the checks to the cashiers office. SAD update Publishing -SAD was dropped off at the PSB, have not heard that they've had any problems. -It looks much the same as last year: that means it's great! -PSB will send us a bill when it's done (normally takes 3-4 months) -Will be done at the latest in mid-August Website -The old one is out in webspace, the new pdfs are already encoded. -PHILIP will upload the pdfs, and delegate other duties as needed. III. Midway update -By the end of the week, ALVAR will send out official mail with list of groups who've requested space and this will be the last time to request space -Midway stuff needs to be done by I-R/O, August 15 IV. Rush Rules and special programs -FAP wants to have an acappela panel where group representatives may mention their existence by name. ALVAR will send email that it is okay for reps to say which group they're from, but should not recruit (as per rush rules) and should try to just tell freshman to see them at the activities midway V. Career Fair as a group? -They want to be recognized as an ASA group - SWE, GSC, and Class Council currently run it. ALVAR will email them to submit the standard recognition package. It seems like they could easily become a departmental group VI. Retreat - we may need to have it until September -Postponed until September -Will discuss more as the date approaches VII. GBM -ARTHUR will send mail to scheduling office for Sept 25th, 5-10pm room preferences: 10-250, 6-120, 54-101, 26-100 VII. Recognitions -Students for Global Sustainability (SGS): Have constitution issues. PHILIP will send email to them
