Keone: Database, Treasurer transistion >>ARCADE CSC asked for more money to cover the banquet they had this past weekend. They're operating at -$1500. Basically, they got less funding from other sources than they thought they would. Decision: allocate them $500. >>Space Planning Matt and Keone have been talking to Phil. There's talk of remodeling sections of the Infinite and possibly removing bulletin boards. The ASA has been asked to provide recommendations on what should happen. One suggestion was to remove reserved postering space and then add more LCDs to advertise their existence and have some space that groups can reserve for a short time. You can see physical bulletin boards better? You can have things to take away (bookmarks, flyers, etc). Maybe if we tried it the new way it would work out fine. Something that rotates between groups would mean you didn't get to see whatever was on the board if it changed while you were walking by. Have a website with all the material that's rotating so that you could go find it later. Screens to show today's events? Not to replace all postering space, but definitely not all. This meeting is perhaps not the best time to discuss this; perhaps a smaller group of people could meet to discuss it. Matt, Keone, and Rebecca will talk about it and then come back to the board with ideas. >>Midway Proposed time frame: 1-3pm on Saturday. Official close is 7pm Saturday night; we'd be one of the later but bigger events. Johnson is reserved the entire weekend, so we could change it. Just listed in the students' guide, not the parents'. Matt will put up a webform for groups. >>Locks In the Small Activities Office - they have a list of everyone in all the groups, but not separated by group, so they can't easily remove groups that are no longer there since members may be in other groups and should still have access. CAC would like to ask all of the groups who should be in there for a full update of their lists of who should have access. Yes, we think this is a good idea. 4th floor locks (in the student center) can fill up. CAC would like to send list of all active IDs to each group to check that all should still have access. Makes sense to all of us. Some of the lockers are locked shut; we can ask CAC to order keys to them. Walker - There's no policy for keeping track of keys or for returning keys when groups move out. There's a suggestion for putting more combo locks instead of locks with keys. In recent years, student groups haven't been moving around enough to care. We'll leave it as is for now, and if groups want new locks, they can ask for them. >>Small Activities Office We should go through all that stuff and organize a reuse pile. We need to remember to talk to CAC to schedule removing stuff. >>Database Keone met with Jed and a couple others in SAO to look at OrgSync (?)something that would help create a database. We don't have the price yet, but it looks like it'll be going forward. Baracka's database hasn't gone forward. >>Wiki Keone is willing to be the point person on this, but would like help. He'll send out an email with a list of topics and helpful people can pick a couple things and create pages. >>Next meeting: -discussing new group recognition process -ASA Official going out tonight - what announcements? -midway -remind about publicity -Class Council elections are coming up; Matt will talk to the UA to remind them about that >>Future of New Group recognition -1 more cycle -Nicole is also doing all the treasury business; someone else should get involved as well
