ASA - Association of Student Activities

Policies & Rules

ASA Policies

ASA Policies are continually revised; however, there are, in general, two types of policies: allocation policies and standing policies. Allocation policies consist of space (office space and locker space) allocations, bulletin board allocations, and mailbox allocations. Standing policies are policies that the ASA develops over time and decides are necessary and important to the successful function of the ASA. These policies are listed below.

Key Policy

Walker Memorial Offices: Key System

To request a key, the president or treasurer of an ASA recognized group must e-mail caclocks@mit.edu with a list of individuals who should be allowed access to rooms.  Once the key is made (if CAC does not already have it), the approved individual can pick it up from our office once the president has been notified that the keys are ready.  A picture ID is necessary to sign out and pick up key(s).  Key(s) must be returned once an individual is no longer affiliated with group.

Policy on the Use of the ASA Electronic Mailing List

Neither the ASA Executive Board nor any member of it shall send mail to the electronic mailing list of all student activity officers unless the ASA Executive Board authorizes it by a majority vote.
