Jenny spends 1000 credits on some L33T grade hacker tools and then uses them to go looking for something better. She sniffs up a package, but the seller wants 40K for it. Regina analyses the Macondo samples and finds a fast-growing plastic-eating fungus. Whitney has another of her patented replay dreams, and the cicada's software is again wiped, with two little holes in the shell.

On 078.101, Aloha Jack brings Sammo from town. He is about to tell everyone what he's up to, but Whitney notices he seems strained as he tells them that he needs a simple charter job for some friends. Before the details can be discussed, another boat pulls into the cove, with four guys on board who look like the multicultural version of the Mafia.

Whitney goes down to the dock with everyone except Dive, who heads for the woods, and Sammo, who follows him. The thugs are looking for Dive, and aren't taking "he's not here" for an answer. Two of them are armed with SMGs, the other two with cattle prods. They begin searching the premises (although one stays by the dock). While they're at it, Whitney and Pilot sneak some of Regina's Macondo samples, and apply them to the thug's boat, with no visible effect.

Finally Dive comes out of the woods, and the boss indicates (in mob-speak) that it's time for Dive's beating before he gets the offer he can't refuse. He isn't excited about that, so the thug by the dock grabs Jenny, who has come down trying to lure him farther away from the boat.

That thug's head explodes, and this escalation leads to a quick firefight. The two other thugs go down quickly, but the leader ends up having to be taken down by hand after grabbing Dive, and is seriously wounded in the process.

Sammo insists that Pilot's sonar attack made the thug's head blow up, but no one believes it wasn't him. He also tells them that their office is crawling with bugs (of the tiny surveillance device variety). Jenny sweeps them out, then hacks the thug's computers to discover that the plan was to beat up Dive, then make him join a team of the NRM's choosing for gambling purposes.

The next day they get the leader conscious again and suggest to him that Dive was killed in the attack - or at least that this will be the least embarrassing story to go home with. He finally agrees, although his sincerity is a bit in doubt. The thugs are put back on their boat, which is seen to be somewhat listing...

Sammo then gives them his actual request, which is for them to run some supplies to a rendezvous point in the ocean near the Northwest Territories. While not saying so, he makes it clear that this is illegal arms-smuggling. Everyone is for it, except Whitney who leaves to preserve her thin illusion of not knowing. They will receive the crates on 085.101. Sammo offers payment in 5000mg Long John or an expensive intrusion software package. Since Jenny is one of the owners, they take the software.

On 080.101, Allea gives a speech in Kingstown calling for a "Nuevo Zion" which can break free of the power of Babylon. He claims that the NRM has fallen to corruption (as of course have the corporations and governments).

One 083.101, the cicada has to be fixed again, and Whitney actually mentions her replay dreams. They decide to have the cicada continuously broadcast instead of recording for the next time this happens. Dive Jordan gets a new name as well, but the narrator foolishly doesn't write it down.

From 085.101 to 090.101, they make their gun-running trip, and everything goes smoothly. The arms are picked up at the other end by three orcas, three dolphins, and two aquaform humans. Pilot flirts with the dolphins, but the presence of the orcas keeps them from leaking anything interesting to Pilot.
