From the South: Take Route 93 North to the Southampton Street exit. Take left at end of exit. Road will become Massachusetts Avenue. Cross Charles River (about two miles up). Go to third traffic light and take a left onto Vassar Street. Athletic complex is on left.

From the North: Take Route 95, Route 1 or Route 93 South. Follow the signs for Storrow Drive. Follow Storrow Drive along the river to Massachusetts Avenue exit (left exit). Take right at end of exit. Go to third set of lights. Take left onto Vassar Street. Athletic complex is on left.

BY BUS:

Due to severe height restrictions buses are not permitted on either Memorial Drive or Storrow Drive.

• If you are approaching MIT by bus from the North take Route 93 South to intersection with Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90) West.
• Follow Route 90 West to Exit 18.
• At fork in road bear right (toward Cambridge).
• Cross Charles River.
• Continue straight to the intersection with Massachusetts Avenue.
• Take a right on Massachusetts Avenue.
• Cross railroad tracks.
• Take first right after railroad tracks (Vassar Street). Athletic complex is on left.

• If you are approaching MIT by bus from the West take Mass Pike to Exit 18.
• At fork in road bear right (toward Cambridge).
• Cross Charles River.
• Continue straight to the intersection with Massachusetts Avenue.
• Take a right on Massachusetts Avenue.
• Cross railroad tracks.
• Take the first right after the railroad tracks (Vassar Street). Athletic complex is on left.

PARKING

The lot on Amherst Street (left at first light after you cross the river, or right at second light after taking a right on Massachusetts Avenue after you drive by the complex) is closest to the tennis courts and Barry Field, but is usually very crowded, especially on weekends.

We recommend the West Garage Annex which is on Vassar Street directly across from
Steinbrenner Stadium.

Lock your vehicle and keep your valuables with you. This lot is open after 3:00 PM weekdays and all
weekend.

RESTAURANTS

There are very few restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the MIT athletic complex. The best advice for visitors to the complex is to take Massachusetts Avenue away from the campus further into Cambridge.

There are several fast food places, ethnic restaurants and pizza and sub shops located on both sides of the street for more than four miles.

The MIT Student Center, housed directly adjacent to the complex boasts several different types of food and dining establishments.

KASSER SPORTS MEDICINE CENTER (W35-115)

The Center is located in the Al and Barrie Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center (W35) at 120 Vassar Street. Once in the building look for signs to Sports Medicine.
