Emergency
To activate EMS and access Campus Police/EMTS:
Dial "100" from a campus phone or Dial 617-253-1212 from a regular
phone.
Urgent
To speak to the Triage Nurse, a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician.
Dial 617-253-1311, 24 hours/day.
For members of the MIT community, MIT Medical is always open for urgent care, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Examples of urgent care include high fever, earaches, sprains and lacerations that require stitches.
If you
call the Urgent Care Line, based on your symptoms, they will answer your questions
and give you advice.
They may ask you to come in right away.
They may direct you to the nearest emergency room, or to Massachusetts General
Hospital, Mount Auburn Hospital, Massachasetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Brigham
and Women's/Deaconess Hospital, or Children's Hospital. When you get there,
tell them you're from MIT, and present your health insurance membership card.
Coverage will depend on which health insurance you have.
Non-urgent or long-standing problems
To speak to your Primary Care Physician at MIT Medical:
For non-urgent problems or conditions which have been present for a long time, please make a scheduled appointment by calling 617-253-4481 during regular weekday hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, and in some services on weekday evenings until 7pm.

Presently, there are over 100 MedLINKS representatives in most campus and off-campus residences. MedLINKS is a service of the Center for Health Promotion & Wellness at MIT Medical.
