VISITOR INFORMATION

The MIT athletic training facility is located in the Kasser Sports Medicine Center (W35-115) at 120 Vassar St.in Cambridge, MA. It is equipped with ice packs, hydrocollator packs, ultrasound, e-stim., and whirlpool units.

Visiting Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) are welcome to use our facility. You will find us open and available at least 1 hour prior to the event.

If your team will be traveling without an ATC please let us know ahead of time and send your team to us with written instructions and adequate supplies. We will do our best to ensure continuity of care for our guests.

If your team will be traveling with an athletic training student we ask that you let us know so that we may be sure to follow appropriate state practice acts. Also, please be sure to have them introduce themselves and represent themselves as athletic training students.

The ATCs at MIT will be on site during all home events and will provide pre-game preparation, on-field assistance, and post-game evaluations and referrals as needed. There will be physician coverage at all home football games.

If at any time you have any questions or comments about the services available or the care provided by our athletic training personnel you are encouraged to contact Thomas Cronan, Head Athletic Trainer, at 617-253-4908 or John Benedick, Assistant Director of Athletics at 617-253-9892.
