IAP/Spring IM Hockey
I am now accepting rosters for the IAP/Spring IM Hockey season. Rosters are due by this Friday December 12th, and I should have the schedule out by December 22nd. The season will begin on January 5th and run until the rink is closed down. There will be no captains' meeting for this season, so please read the following carefully. 1. Read the Captain's Handbook section 1.6.3 for the NEW ROSTER RULES. Due to many complaints last year, there are strict rules this year for who can be on your roster. If you submit a roster that is in violation of these rules, you will not be scheduled for the season. 2. Fill out the entry form. The form is also available at http://web.mit.edu/drodgers/www/imhockey/EntryForm08.xls and will be available soon on the IM hockey announcement page. 3. Email your roster to im-hockey@mit.edu BY 11:59PM Friday, December 12th. 4. Print out a hard copy of your roster, and submit it ALONG WITH the $75 entry fee for the Fall season to Bernice Ward on the 2nd floor of the Z-center BY 3PM FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12TH. Independent teams must also pay a $115 refundable deposit (see Captain's Handbook for details). Be ready to pay any outstanding fines as well. Again, you must submit an electronic copy AND a hard copy along with payment. Failure to submit the electronic copy by Friday 11:59pm or submit the hard copy WITH payment by Friday 3pm will result in your team not playing the IAP/Spring season. Also, all players on your roster must be a member of the Z-center. Also attached to this e-mail is the Captain's Handbook for this season. READ IT (it will take no more than 5 minutes)! It contains pretty much everything you will need to know about IM hockey this year including minimums to form a team, league information, etc. The handbook is also available at http://web.mit.edu/drodgers/www/imhockey/captainshandbook2008.pdf and will be available soon on the IM hockey announcement page. Games will start on Monday, January 5th, so be ready to play! Feel free to let me know if you have questions. Please direct *ANY* IM hockey correspondence to im-hockey@mit.edu (this goes for the rest of the season, too). This will help me sort out emails and get back to you faster.
Thanks, Daniel Rodgers
