  • Dvorak Keyboard Layout
description:
The Dvorak keyboard layout was designed with the goal of maximizing typing efficiency. The layout places the most frequently typed letters on a keyboard in the home row, making them more accessible to people who have difficulty using the standard "QWERTY" layout. There are three Dvorak layouts: one for two- handed users, one for people who type only with their left hand, and one for people who type only with their right hand.
Although there are Dvorak keyboards, you do not need a special keyboard to use the layout. All the major operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux) include the option to set your keyboard to the Dvorak layout.
