About The Lab
The Acoustics and Vibrations Laboratory at MIT was established in 1964. Since its establishment, over two hundred twenty students have obtained their graduate degrees for their research conducted in the lab. Of these, over eighty students earned their PhDs.
At present, the lab hosts research projects in nonlinear dynamics, noise and vibration control, and nonlinear control. Projects conducted in the laboratory are supervised by individual faculty members associated with the lab.
