Josh Gagliardi 24 August 1995 The babel locker follows the @sys locker convention outlined in `man lockers`. arch holds architecture-dependent library and binary directories. bin directories: /mit/babel/bin is a symlink to /mit/babel/arch/@sys/bin Within the architecture-dependent bin directories, many of the files are links to shellscripts in /mit/babel/arch/common/bin. In general, shellscript FOO will be a symlink to /mit/babel/arch/common/bin/FOO, which will, after correct fonts and X resources, ultimately invoke the actual executable /mit/babel/bin/FOO.real. lib directories: /mit/babel/lib is a symlink to /mit/babel/arch/@sys/lib Within the architecture-dependent lib directories, many of the files are symlinks to directories in /mit/babel/arch/common/lib. nihongo contains Japanese-specific applications. zhongwen contains Chinese-specific applications. hangul contains Korean-specific applications. Other directories may soon be subejct to termination with extrem prejudice.
