Highlights
vs. Curry College
January 29, 1998

Thank heaven for big men. The game was fast paced and exciting. It was close until Craig Heffernan and Kareem Benjamin took over. They scored 28 of MIT's 42 second half points and 41 of the 81 total points. Curry didn't do anything that could stop the Big Men. On top of that, MIT shot 82% from the field in the second half.

What can I say about Craig "the Superman" Heffernan? He finished with 24 points (17 in the second half) and 7 rebounds. I guess he had his Wheaties.

Melvin Pullen Jr. finished with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists.

Kareem Benjamin double-doubled; 17 points and 13 rebounds. He also had 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. When are you gonna get the triple-double Kareem?

Godfrey Inniss finished with 8 points and I'm sure the players from Curry won't forget them. Godfrey hit four dunks. It looked like he managed to dunk on everyone on Curry's team (that might be a gross exaggeration, but you get the picture). Unfortunately, the best one didn't count. He also had 2 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Thank You to the Lucey's who have been to every game this season.

Thank You to the fans in the front row (sorry, but I don't know your names). We appreciate your coming to away games.

Thank You to the Goodman's for your hospitality.

And here's a special shout out to Kearne Prendergast. Kearne's cheering at the Men's Volleyball game on Wednesday night (Tech won 3-1) was so effective that it took Wentworth out of it's game completely. One player, who shall remain nameless (Kyle knows who it was), became so frazzled that he couldn't stop looking in the stands. He starting making all kinds of motions with his hands (if I didn't know better, I'd say one of them was obscene). When he couldn't take it anymore, he asked the officials to calm us down. But who can be calm when the Men's Volleyball team is running a clinic? Ask Simo and Charles if they charged Wentworth for that waxing.
