Game Stats

First Half Recap:

Both teams played evenly to start the half with the score remaining tight through the first 11 minutes of play. The highlight for the Engineers during the stretch was a power dunk from sophomore Kyle Doherty off a nice pass from freshman Danny Kanamori that tied the score at 11. The teams traded baskets for the next few minutes as freshman Mike Huhs and junior Boris Paskalev scored inside for MIT. However, Babson's defense began to take over late in half as they used a 12-2 spurt over the last 8 minutes to build a 35-24 lead heading into halftime.

Second Half Recap:

The Engineers continued to struggle in the second half as Babson maintained their lead. Turnovers again plagued the Engineers as Babson blew the game open with a 12-0 spurt halfway through the second half. The Engineers trailed at one point 61-33. However, the Engineers refused to give up as they went on a 14-2 run of their own, cutting the deficit to 63-47 with 4:15 left. Juniors Alex Phillips and Stuart Laval converted numerous backdoor layups during that stretch. However, the spurt proved to be too little too late as Babson answered with baskets on the other end, putting the game out of reach.
