Arriving from the North or South:
If traveling routes 1, 3 or 95, either North or South, follow signs to Boston, via Interstate 93, to Exit 26--Storrow Drive/Cambridge. Follow signs to Storrow Drive. Travel Storrow Drive to the Copley Square/Back Bay Exit (on the left). At the traffic signal turn right onto Beacon Street. Travel Beacon to the second set of traffic lights. Turn left on to Clarendon. Stay on Clarendon until you reach Boylston Street (6 traffic lights). Take a left on Boylston Street.

Arriving from the West (via the Massachusetts Turnpike orRoute 2)

If you are traveling from the west via the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90), take Exit 22-- Prudential/Copley Square. Stay in the right lane for the Copley Square Exit (it comes up quickly!). At the first right, take a left onto Dartmouth Street. Continue through two lights until you reach Boylston Street. Take a right on Boylston. The Admission Office is located at 420 Boylston on the third floor.

If you are coming from the west via Route 2, follow signs for Boston and Soldiers Field Road (Soldiers Field Road becomes Storrow Drive East). Travel on Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive approximately 4 miles and take the Copley Sq. Exit (right lane exit). Continue on Clarendon Street through 7 traffic lights and take a left on Boylston. The Admission Office is located at 420 Boylston on the third floor.

There are several public garages between one and four city blocks of the Admission Office. The Kinney System Garage and the Howard Johnson 57 Hotel parking, both located on Stuart Street, can be reached by continuing down Boylston on block, turning right on to Arlington (the first traffic light), and then taking a left on to Stuart (the second traffic light). The Kinney System Garage is one block up on your left. The Howard Johnson 57 Hotel parking is one block up on your right.

Due to heavy demand on the city's parking garages, be aware that garages may be full during peak hours.

If you are traveling by Amtrak train, the Back Bay Station is three blocks from the Office of Admission.

Arriving by plane

To Emerson from the airport:
Taxis are available outside the terminals. A cab ride from the airport to 420 Boylston will cost approximately $20.

To take the T: Get on either the #11 or #33 Massport Bus (outside any terminal) and get off at the subway stop (blue line, Airport station). Then follow the T directions.

Using the Public Transportation (MBTA)

Emerson is easily accesible by public transportation. Most Bostonians refer to the subway as the "T".

Take the GREEN LINE to Arlington Street Station. When exiting the station, you will be on the corner of Arlington and Boylston Streets. Walk up Boylston Street (the park will be behind you). The Office of Admission is located at 420 Boylston Street on the third floor, across thte street from the Starbucks.
