Profile

Kyle is one of MIT's two returning starters. Last season, as a freshman, he was voted the team's rookie of the year while leading the team in field goal percentage.

Kyle came from Duxbury High School in Duxbury, MA, where he was a three-year varsity player under coaches Foster Cass and Gordon Cushing. As a 2-year captain, he helped lead a successful Duxbury team while being named a "Player to Watch" in Massachusetts by USA Today prior to his senior season. He was awarded league MVP honors for both his junior and senior seasons as he averaged 21 points per game over those two seasons.

Kyle is the youngest of three sons of Neal and Geri Doherty, who are at every one of his games. In addition to basketball, he enjoys movies, traveling, and all types of music. He is undecided about his career plans.
