Sometimes you have to leave Burton Conner and would like to still receive your mail. To have this entirely taken care of there are only three websites you need to visit.
1. Any post office should allow you to fill out an official temporary change of address form. The Student Center one would probably be easiest. In the past year, the Postal Service has actually implemented an online version of this form as well. More details, including online forms and additional magazine forwarding info (USPS will only forward magazine for 60 days) can be found at:
moversguide.usps.com
2. MIT mail is internal so you need to change your address with MIT for your bursar's bill and such. WebSIS will allow you to do that. Go into Biographical Information and then Address Information. Here you need to alter your "temporary address" accordingly.
3. While this should cover everything, in the rare event somebody goofs-up, you can also leave a copy of your summer mailing address at desk. The webform below will do this for you. From there we can try to manually forward anything that either the USPS or MIT missed. (However the official USPS and MIT services are probably your most efficient and reliable options so this is merely a fail-safe.)
