Business Continuity Planning

Recovery Plans	Recovery Planning at MIT is coordinated by the Business Continuity Management Team under the direction of the Executive Vice President.   MIT's recovery planning process is documented in a set of plans. The top level Business Continuity Management Team (BCMT) Plan -- guidance for infrastructure support of the business functions requiring recovery capability. The FARM (Functional Area Recovery Management) Team Plans -- specific procedures for an operational area's recovery of business functions and information and communications systems supporting that business.
FARM Team Plan templates -- MIT only --	You can facilitate the development of a plan for your functional area by using a MS Word template. This ensures that your organization's plans will integrate with the overall MIT Business Continuity Plan recovery planning strategy. Download Word template

Backing up your data	The key to successful recovery from any disaster is having a reliable copy of your critical data backed up offsite. Backup for your desktop system is available over the network with TSM (the Tivoli Storage Manager).
