The Neural Control of Vision
N. Intermediate Level Vision

intermediate level vision tasksFigure 74 shows three other intermediate level tasks we studied. The top three panels show a basic object transform: the size of the sample stimulus is varied. The middle three panels show how one can study occlusion by varying the spatial frequency of an occluding grating. In the bottom three panels examples are shown how the degree of contour information can be systematically varied.
