The Neural Control of Vision
P. Ongoing Research

In our next series of psychophysical experiments we assessed several functions in normal and stereo blind subjects as a prelude to examining the organization of their visual system. We measured the acuity of each eye, the nature of hand/eye coordination under monocular and binocular viewing conditions, the processing of motion parallax and disparity cues presented together or separately, and interocular integration. Acuity was assessed using the Snellen chart. Hand/eye coordination was assessed using the "Needle" test and the "Touch Panel" test.
