Declaring a Minor

  1. Pick up a Minor Application* from the BE Academic Office (56-651) or from the Student Services Center (11-120), or access at http://web.mit.edu/registrar/www/reg/minor_app_form.pdf

  2. Meet with the Minor Advisor who represents your major department in order to plan your program of study for the BME Minor. Bring the Application, as well as a copy of your most recent grade report with you to this meeting.

  3. Complete the Application; your Minor program Advisor must sign the form. Bring completed application to the BE Academic Office (56-651) to get signed up for the Minor and for copies distribution to your major
advisor, minor advisor, BE office and yourself.

  4. To change any part of your approved program, you must consult with your Minor Advisor.

  5. When you have completed all of the course requirements for the Minor, take a copy of your most recent grade report, an Exit Survey (available from 56-651), and a Minor Completion Form to your Minor Advisor. Your Advisor will then sign the Completion Form to verify that you have satisfied all of the course requirements.
