| Graduate Admissions FAQ’s - Funding & Student Support
What kind of funding is available to support students in the program?
Students are generally supported by a variety of fellowships and research assistantships during their time at MIT. These appointments pay tuition and a competitive stipend. Students are encouraged to seek outside fellowships to help finance their graduate studies. Many of our students are supported by NSF, DOD, Hertz, as well as other government and corporate sources.
Which professors in your department are looking for Research Assistants?
After you are admitted to the BE Dept, you will be given chance to meet with all faculty to discuss the possibility and openings in their labs.
