GeekTool

One more cool little app: GeekTool

I set it up to display the output of three Unix commands on my desktop:

  1. date "+Today is %A, %B %e, %Y and it's %l:%M"
    shows the current time and date
  2. cal
    shows this month's calendar
  3. more ~/Desktop/gtd/next
    shows my to do list

It's a beautifully geeky aesthetic.
