LHPCbench
LHPCbench, a lattice QCD HPC Bluegene benchmark.
Hardware
LHPCbench is currently a bluegene specific benchmark. It has been tested on the
following bluegene configuration:
- 1024 BGL rack
- 128 IO nodes
- 6 storage nodes (specs to follow)
- 4x1Gb links from 2 storage nodes to switch
Software Components and Requirements
LHPCbench is composed of the following software components:
- Chroma: Standard USQCD Lattice Field Theory library
- cg-dwf: MIT DWF Inverter
- QDP: Data parallel environment for Lattice QCD
- Bagel: Assembler generation library
- QMP: Lattice QCD Message Passing library
- libxml: XML parsing toolkit
In addition, building LHPCbench, requires the MIT patched Bluegene compiler, which understands BG/L double FPU.
