History
Biodiesel@MIT was established as an ASA recognized group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the spring term of 2007. The group had been operating as an unofficial sub-group of the MIT Energy Club since October 2006 before this establishment. The main goals of this discussion group were to conduct a more in-depth feasibility analysis of biodiesel usage and WVO processing on campus. The initial feasibility study was conducted in January 2006 as part of a class in MIT’s Independent Activities Period (IAP).
As a continually evolving group, Biodiesel@MIT is constantly looking for people who are passionate about making MIT more sustainable. Students and affiliates of all courses are welcome. All that is required is interest in sustainability on campus!
