E. coli and Yeast Frozen Stocks

This protocol was submitted by Matt Kaeberlein.

This protocol works well for making frozen stocks of both E.coli or S. cerevisiae

Required Reagants:

• 40% Glycerol
• Cryo-Vials

Protocol:

1. Grow cells overnight in rich or selective media
2. Aliquot 1ml of 40% glycerol to cryo-vial
3. Add 1mL of o/n culture to glycerol
4. Store at -80C
