How to Place an Order:
DNA Sequencing
- Go to dnalims.mit.edu
- Create a user account
- Log in
- Enter your DNA Sequencing Request
- Bring the printed request form, along with your samples (with the Order# on the tubes) to the lab, E17-415.
- See DNA Sequencing How to Order and Sample Submission in Detail sections for more information.
- You will receive an email notification when your data is ready. It can be viewed, printed, and uploaded from your browser.
Peptide Synthesis
- Fill out a Peptide Synthesis Request Form
- If ordering multiple small scale peptides or peptide arrays, also create a list of sequences (one-letter code)
- Bring the form and the list to the lab, E17-415, or email them to ktone@mit.edu (large and small scale) or cook@mit.edu (peptide array)
- You will receive an email notification when your order is finished. The peptide(s) can be picked up in the lab. If necessary, peptides can be mailed via campus mail or sent via fed-ex (subject to shipping costs).
Mass Spectrometry
- Fill out a Mass Spectrometry Request Form and if applicable, a Protein Digest Request Form
- Bring the printed form(s), along with your samples (with labels) to the lab, E17-415
- You will receive an email notification when your data is ready. Ion trap and MALDI data will be emailed in Word and Excel files. Electrospray data can be picked up in the lab, faxed, or sent via campus mail.
HPLC
- Fill out an HPLC Request Form
- Bring the printed form, along with your samples (with labels) to the lab, E17-415
- You will receive an email notification when your order is finished. Data can be picked up in the lab, faxed, or sent via campus mail. Purified products can be picked up in the lab, or if necessary, sent via campus mail or fed-ex (subject to shipping costs).
