About

The When, Where, and Why

Remodeled in March 2002. (Originally launched in August 2000).

On my laptop, both on campus and at home.

To share my experiences with friends and family I don't see on a regular basis and to share design information with my MITG&SP friends.

The How

I use BBEdit Lite for Mac OS X, a freeware plain text editor, for all of the HTML work. I thought it best to work from scratch. I received my first lesson in HTML via Joe Barta's So, you want to make a Web Page site. After that, I resorted to the book HTML: The Definitive Guide, Second Edition by Chuck Musciano and Bill Kennedy.

All of the images were manipulated in ways big and small using a beta version of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for Mac OS X.

I do acknowledge that the basis of many of the graphics on this site probably have copyrights on them. However, I have no intention of removing any of them unless their respective owners hunt me down and issue some sort of cease and desist letter.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Safari is the browser I use most often and is, I suppose, "my browser of choice." While I test this site using Safari, IE, Netscape and Mozilla on Windows, Mac and Athena machines when possible, keep in mind that browsers have a will of their own.

Copyright

All original material on my website, including many of the graphics, are copyright 2002-2003 by me.

If you feel the desire to use my stuff, please contact me via e-mail. I like to know who I inspire. Send questions, comments and concerns to b l k d r g n (m i t . e d u).
