Massachusetts Institute of Technology
MIT is the only school I could have attended and be happy and miserable at the same time. I honestly believe that no other school could have suited me better, not even Harvard.
MIT Gilbert and Sullivan Players
One weekend during my freshman year, I covered for my best friend in the orchestra pit of "Yeomen of the Guard." I've been involved with MITG&SP ever since.
MIT Musical Theatre Guild
For some strange reason, I served three terms as Secretary of the Guild. I served on the Managing Board for Spring 1999, Fall 2000, and Spring 2000.
MIT Sailing
I was once a member of the MIT Sailing Team, and spent many hours of almost everyday, getting soaked and cold both on and in the Charles River.
The Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Each day, I check this website for the latest and greatest Austen Fan-Fic. The writers here are quite talented, though many of them could use a good editor.
Republic of Pemberley's Bits of Ivory
I used to spend many fun filled hours at this site posting my opinions and reading Fan-Fic or the novels of the great Jane herself. The board has recently revised its posting guidelines, however, and not as many people post nowadays. However, the archive remains intact.
Jane Austen Society of North America
In October of 2000, JASNA held its annual meeting in Boston. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to go to the conference. Even worse, the theme was none other than "Pride and Prejudice," my favorite Austen novel. I wish I could have attended the seminar entitled, "Sleeping With Mr. Collins," which was led by my Jane Austen professor, Dr. Ruth Perry.
Jessamyn's Regency Costume Companion
Sense and Sensibility Clothing
Don't be fooled by the name. This remarkable lady is capable of making a wide variety of costumes from any period, not just from the Regency Period. The pictures of her "Titanic Project" are quite impressive.
Blizzard Entertainment
One of my favorite computer games of all time is StarCraft and it's expansion set, StarCraft: Brood War.

As the Apple Turns
Funny as hell, this website is a "humorous take on the daily news and rumors in the turbulent world of Apple Computer." It takes the form of a strange soap opera. Episodes used to air daily, but with a new baby in the show, they are slow in coming. Nevertheless, this is a great website for Mac enthusiasts, and it is run by two MIT alumni.
Apple Computer
I blame Steve.
Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire
This very cool musician is a great violinist, lyricist, and live performer. I first became aware of his work by listening to the Squirrel Nut Zippers (mentioned below), but I didn't realize that he had his own act until my boyfriend exposed me to some of his non-SNZ music.
Squirrel Nut Zippers
Though this isn't the official website, I find myself here most often for SNZ related things. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated in awhile.
Squirrel Nut Zippers - Official Website
The official website. This is mainly for SNZ products and tour information.
