'Diwali Nite' is MIT Sangam's annual show in celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights. The show features Indian music, dance and drama as well as a 3 course Indian dinner.
When: 7:00pm, Friday November 7, 2004
Where: Walker Memorial, MIT.
Sheila Krishna, Sumati Ram-Mohan and Jayodita Sanghvi performed a Thillana in this year's Diwali Nite. A Thillana is a fast-paced dance, that is usually done at the end of a dance recital.

This year's Natyanjali, Natya's annual dance performance, was held on October 2nd & 3rd(repeat performance) in Little Kresge. It featured students of MIT and showcased three different dance forms from India (Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kathak).

MIT's Annual South Asian Cultural Show features dance and music from all regions of South Asia. This year, twelve Natya dancers performed in a dance that paid obeisance to six different gods - Surya, Vishnu, Shiva, Karthikeya, Devi and Ganesha. The dance was choreographed by Rasika Kumar.

Grains of Rice is an annual ethnic banquet and cultural performance that features ethnic dishes from various Asian countries, and a series of cultural performances by MIT student organizations and one professional group.
This year's 'Grains of Rice' was held on Sunday, April 6. Radha Kalluri performed a Ganesha Kauthuvam, which is a dance in praise of Lord Ganesha, the remover of all obstacles. Sumati Ram-Mohan did another dance, which was about the Goddess Saraswati who is the goddess of wisdom and the goddess of music.
