2008 Events

Sangam Diwali Night 2008

This year, at MIT's annual Diwali Night, MIT Natya performed a piece to A.R. Rahman's recreation of Vande Mataram. The piece explored the many beauties that define India. From the lives of agriculturalists, to warriors, to priests, the vast region of India contain many hidden mysteries and wonders.

Dancing Nature's Art - February 18, 2008

In place of the annual Natyanjali, this year, MIT Natya decided to experiment and fuse the realms of art and science. Staying true to the traditions of Bharathanatyam, we presented the science of DNA by depicting replication, transcription, translation, mutations, evolution and ultimately the immense genetic variety which arises from this tiny molecule.
