Book of Beauty

The mighty Hauman grew to a great height and crossed the ocean in one giant leap. He then went to Ravana's beautiful Ashoka garden in the hope of finding Sita there. He saw Sita being tormented by an amorous Ravana, who was trying to force her to marry him.

Hanuman then met Sita while she was lamenting about her fate, and gave her Rama's ring. He sang praises of Rama to cheer her up and told her that Rama was on his way to rescue her. Sita was relieved and gave him one of her jewels, to pass on to Rama. Hanuman then created a commotion in the garden and deliberately got caught by Ravana's guards.

Hanuman cheekily met Ravana in his great court, and taunted him, asking him to restore Sita to Rama lest he should face Rama's wrath. A furious Ravana called for his guards to set Hanuman's tail on fire. Hanuman, unhurt by the flames, flew around Lanka with his tail ablaze and burnt the city to cinders.

Hanuman then returned to Rama, who was overjoyed to see Sita's jewel. On hearing Hanuman's account, Rama decided to gather his forces and attack Lanka.
