Went to see "the gates" in new york with lily, tristan, and katie in winter 2005. They were orange. I got a swatch/piece that I still have. I love orange.
Plus, lily got us a sweet hotel room. Pistachio! (that's not an inside joke, but it would be funny if it was)
The fahmlie went to spain for chirstmas. Gaudi's stuff in Barcelona was pretty wild, as was the Dali museum.
I took a trip to eastern europe as part of a high school course called "Facing History and Ourselves". One of the primary focuses of the course was the holocaust, and we spent a lot of time vising various concentration camps. We also went through Krakow, Berlin, and Prague.
Very intense trip, running around jazz clubs having a great time one night, then having our souls crushed and faith in humanity destroyed the next afternoon, all the while getting almost no sleep and tearing across rural poland in a bus.
