Kate Mahoney
A Washington, D.C. native, Mahoney is probably best known for her television portrayals of characters caught between two cultures, first the star-crossed Michiko Kasai/RONIN in Charles Hope's gritty and long running New York drama and the better-faring Mikele Hendrake in Michael Earl's Amber series. Her film credits include several authority roles, originally written as male parts, including Greta Stellmach (Five Minutes to Midnight), and Dr. Emilia Fluffernutter (Mystic), and most notably President/Vice President J Danielle Pheasant in the spy thriller Midnight in Moscow. This is her third ship captain; previous roles include the pirate hunter, Captain Sara Lloyd (Calypso), and the murdering Captain Jane Quirk (Murder on the Starlight Express).
