The World Institute of Science Fiction Film announced the nominees for the prestigious annual Jupiter Awards, which include six nominations for Hippocratic Oath. The show was nominated for Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series, which it has won the past two years. No series has won three years in a row, and this year the competition from Gene Whortleberry's Triangulum and the final season of Muffy the Demon Killer is intense. Derrick Kong (Dr. Voriig Kye) and Robert Ringrose (Max Sinclair) were nominated for Best TV Actor, and Marleigh Norton (January Sook), Andrea Humez (Katya Lavalor), and Sara Verilli (Dr. Sophia Symphony-Hayes) were nominated for Best TV Actress. Unlike most series, Hippocratic Oath does not differentiate lead versus supporting characters, so the cast routinely decline supporting actor nominations. Previously, the awards were won by Eon C. Harry (Janzur Therive), Tom Giordano (Jim Powell), Kate Mahoney (Eva Thorssen), and Mikka Goldberg (Anataya Mikhaelova). Studio executives have mentioned the possibility of extended the planned five-season arc of the show to allow all the cast members to win an award. We think they're joking.
