Analysis of the sphere that Maury got from the Matrix's Secret Lab

Purpose: The sphere is a neutral unreactive silicate, designed to keep the contents away from any possible reaction until they're needed. The contents are an organic catalyst, designed to combine other sets of organic pharmaceuticals (both gases and aerosolized particles) in a reaction very very fast.

Operation: You put the sphere in the container-with-drill-piece that acts as the sealed catalyst disbursment device. (Think of a sealed ink cartridge for a fountain pen, or a can of oil and the puncture-and-pour spout).

Composition: The sphere is basically glass, though with non-reactive trace contaminants that make it less brittle than things like window glass. The contents are a mixture of a number of complicated organic gases.
