We already know that their public position is "We were shaped by aliens vastly more powerful than us. They will return someday. They are Other and beyond our knowing."
As far as I can tell, they're trying to find out whatever they can about the Other, and don't seem to have concluded definitively that the Other is the Deciders or that the Other is the Dust Wyrm.
