Thoughts on Attendants:

Gathering Theory tells us that:

Cassandra/Twig/Cabry-born-Tinoori/Ruehan: a bit light on the humans

Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Kith/Max: a little light on the outworlds, a little
light on the aliens but 3 might be overkill. Light on anyone from one
of the actual Hegemonies. What 5th would make this group better?--a
Hive whale from Nonesuch. :) (You'd get another outworld data point,
as well as pulling the delineation of the inworlds out to the edge.
You'd get two more aliens for the price of one, to boot.) Or an
uplift from Red or Blue (to add a bit of humanity, a bit of alien, and
some major governmental force).

[we also think Vertaki might give some credit for both alien and
human. hooray!]

	   **my current thought:
	   Brocoah/Tinoori/Max (or Mirris)/Ruehan or Kith/Eva or Kye

Note: the people we have who are good in PRE *and* FOR: Max, Ciernan,
Mirris, Kith; Ruehan's starting to get marginal in FOR, as is Kye (but
remember you can add FOR to FOR and Kye has implants!).
Most of the FOR group has no PRE to speak of, which is the
real problem, since we can't drain all the PRE people into the FOR
group to make them Attendants.
Also note Attendants need psi theory as well; neither Kye nor
Mirris has any. (Eva would have to buy up, too.)

Tom/Jim points out: It occurs to me that the Attendants don't have to
have a high PrePsi if they have fortune and karma. For instance, Ace
or Eva or I could spend a karma to use all their fortune and get 11 or
12 dice on the PsiTHhory roll. This doesn't help without having a
fair amount of skill (12 dice needs 6 skill to rate 5 9s), but if
people wanted to spend the points on PsiTheory, that would give us
different Attendant options, letting the high PrePsi people go with
Jayla.
--in which case we might want to consider Eva rather than Kye,
for example.

New sets considered:

> > a) Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Ruehan/Max
> > b) Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Kith/Ruehan/Max
> > c) Twig/Cabbry-Tinoori/Kith/Max/Eva
> > d) Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Kith/Max/Kye
> > e) Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Ruehan/Max/Eva
> > f) Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Ruehan/Max/Kye
> > g) is Mirris functionally equivilant to Max?
> 5 successes (also 5 successes w/ psi theory)

Result: The ones that have no females other than (possibly) the
unstated Cabry Tinoori are light on females. The first is light on
humans. The ones without Ruehan are light on aliens. The one with
Kith and Ruehan is the only one which is not light on outworlders.
Kye and Eva are both good representatives of "hegemonic human".
Mirris is more female than Max.

**OK, that sounds like maybe Twig/Tinoori/Kith/Ruehan/Eva (or Kye,
possibly depending on the Tinoori's gender) is the optimization here.
Though we should test it. Eva is better in the sense that she's
already in the Blue group, as is Kith.
	[2 male, 2 female, 1 something. 2 outworld, 3 inworld, of
which two are only nominally from major governments and the third is
very much so, both Blue and Red covered; 5 planets of origin, the
inworld ones not at the poles but reasonably distributed. 3 alien
including the original participating races, 2 human.]
[These 3 PCs all ve some Psi Theory but Kith and Eva probably
need more. Eva would have to spend Fortune = karma to get the PrePsi
dice. Ruehan doesn't have the world's highest FOR and Kith doesn't
have the world's highest PRE, but a couple of fortune dice would fix
that. Kith and Eva need to be in the Blue/Puce group anyhow.]
[Still need to acquire a Tinoori and decide if we need a
spiffer-psi rocoah than Twig (he'd need a pretty high skill to rate 5
successes, though not ridiculous if we're assuming buffing).]

Third round of considering:

> > Attendant groups:
> > Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Ruehan/Kith/Eva
> > Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Ruehan/Kith/Cassandra
> > Twig/Cabry-Tinoori/Ruehan/Max/Cassandra
>
> Target: 7. Successes: 5.

The last is light on outworlders. The first is the only one so far
that isn't light on non-psis, but you think that's not so much of a
hole as it could be, given that it's a psi ritual. Still, it does
close that hole. Covering current-Hegemonics (Eva) is a bigger hole
to close than covering lost-Hegemonics (Cassandra) or
special-case-inworlds (Max).

**Sounds like a confirmation! Time to propose this set
(Twig/Tinoori/Ruehan/Kith/Eva) to the crew and see if it gets shot
down on logistical grounds!
