The Biotechnology Training Program provides public funds to support the training of scientists and engineers who will provide future leadership in the Biotechnology industry. This requires that students be educated more broadly than would normally occur within their own discipline, in order to solve complex, multifaceted problems and work with others from diverse backgrounds in engineering and science. The interdisciplinary program described below provides a formal mechanism for this broader education. |
