Chinese Learning Resources

Dictionary (excel spreadsheet) for College Chinese
My own dictionary spreadsheet, mostly containing vocabulary from "College Chinese" by Lin Shou-yin, published by Cheng & Tsui.

SunWuKong.mov
A movie created for our third year Chinese class (myself, Peter, Bob & Lorraine) using one of the Monkey King stories. Download the script here.

ChinesePod.com
A podcast with over 100 lessons in Mandarin Chinese, and a really great website.

Sinosplice.com
An enlightening website with insights into pronounciation and what to expect when learning Chinese.

MDBG Chinese dictionary
A really good, understandable Chinese-English dictionary. (Thanks, David in Shanghai.)

yourDictionary.com
This dictionary has a daily word, which includes a breakdown into the component characters. I find this feature fun and interesting, though I use MDBG for looking up words.

Chinese idioms
I don't know how accurate these are, but they're fun.

Chinese Wiki
A well organized wiki with some learning resources. I trust ChinesePod and Sinosplice over this for accuracy, but this site has a better organization and some very useful pinyin charts.
