Mauro's Compositions

Mauro's Compositions

You will find here "recordings" of my compositions. By "recordings" I mean .mp3's produced from Sibelius, mostly through Kontakt Player Gold, but a few through soundfonts and Synthfont. I "record" a few tracks at a time, put them together with Audacity, save them as a .wav, and convert them to .mp3 using iTunes. There are certainly limitations on the sound quality. For example, Sibelius does not handle crescendi and diminuendi very well -- sustained notes have no change, and rolls (on percussion, generally) do not change dynamics smoothly. So, um, pretend these are real instruments. Or record them for me. My email address, for all time, is mauro dot braunstein at post dot harvard dot edu (with .'s for "dot" and @ for "at", of course); feel free to get in touch with me about any of this music. While this page is hosted at MIT, you can also reach me at braunst at mit dot edu.

Disclaimer

All of the works on this page are copyright Mauro Braunstein and they belong to me, except for the ones that are designated as arrangements, where the original composer(s) is(are) noted in parentheses under the work's title. In those cases, the arrangement is copyright Mauro Braunstein as much as is legal. However, I'm not in ASCAP or RIAA, and I especially don't subscribe to their form of tyranny, so if you want to distribute these recordings, play them publicly, make better ones, or whatever, it's probably fine with me, but as a courtesy you should ask first. If you share them with others, though, please make sure to include my name as composer. If you want to play any of this music, in most cases I'd be happy to email you sheet music.
