Welcome to the Office of Budget Operations

The Office of Budget Operations manages the yearly budget cycle and provides tools and expertise for effective allocation and use of Institute resources. It is the office of record for General Institute and Auxiliary budgets. The Office of Budget Operations publishes the Budget Book, with MIT's annual budget plan, and end of year report of budget results. Financial analysts, Technical, and Administrative staff, shown in the staff directory, carry out these responsibilities.

The Office is a service organization, committed to supporting MIT's core mission in education and research and dedicated to partnering with clients to achieve mutual goals. It aims at continuous improvement in budgeting processes and tools to achieve excellence, support a diverse client base, and uphold the mission of the Institute.
