Scenario 1: Harassment

Introduction : Follow Prof. X : Go talk to Dept. Chair

You chose: Go talk to the Chair of the Department.

You tell the Chair about the incident you witnessed. The Chair responds with a promise to speak to Prof. X.

You can...

Let P handle it.
Suggest that Prof. X might retaliate against Chris and that it might be better to use a generic approach to addressing faculty behavior toward grad students.
Go With P
Suggest that the Chair talk to Chris.
Throw Out Food
Say, "Thank you," and leave, doubting that the Chair will actually do anything.
